There are approximately 40 Parent & Toddler groups throughout Co. Kildare. The Kildare West Wicklow Parenting Forum has developed a leaflet which contains information to these groups about the supports that are available to them from a variety of organisations in the county.
These organisations recognise the important role that Parent & Toddler groups play in supporting parents and young children.
By making this information available to existing Parent & Toddler groups it is hoped to assist them to grow and develop so that they can continue to provide this valuable support to families.

The service you provide to parents, children and the local community is very beneficial.
For some parents it may be the only form of adult company they have and that will have a very positive impact on their lives. It can provide a great support network for parents and a chance to make some lifelong friends.
For the children, it is a great way of building their self-confidence and social skills, as they learn to play with others in the comfort of knowing that their parent is nearby. Learning these skills is a major stepping stone in preparing children for pre-school
