• Early Years Educator, required for wobbler, toddler and preschool rooms.
• We are looking for a fun, passionate person to join our new creche here in Leixlip and Maynooth.
• Candidates should have full knowledge and understanding of short, medium and long term planning, aistear/ siolta.
• Supporting children’s emergent interests
• To maintain our learning environment so our children have a fun creative environment to explore each day Meeting all the needs of the children, nappy changing, feeding etc

• First Aid certificate is required

The Beehive Montessori - AIM Educator

LOCATION: Prosperous, Co Kildare

JOB DESCRIPTION / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*

We are a sessional service catering for upto 41 children. We are based in the beautiful grounds of The Kildare Maze (though not the maze itself, don’t worry! 😀).

Aswell as our lovely classrooms we have a dedicated play area and also use of a giant sandpit, a natural wooden playground and lovely nature walks. Our classrooms without walls makes everyday full of opportunities for our curious and capable little adventurers.

• We are looking for an AIM educator who is dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic, and who has a child focused approach to early childhood education.
• All applicants must have a minimum qualification of FETAC level 5 in early years care and education.
• Experience in a sessional early years setting is preferred.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be naturally warm and responsive to young children’s needs and interests
• Have experience of working in a team environment, where everyone is respected and supported in their role.
• Have an inclusive approach to practice, with a particular interest in supporting a child/children with speech and language development activities (must be a fluent English speaker).
• Enjoy being outdoors and sharing adventures with our little ones.
• Have an understanding and knowledge of the Aistear Framework.
• Have a good knowledge and understanding of child protection and the duties and responsibilities under Children First.
• Have experience of working with parents as partners
• Have a flexible and positive attitude
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

TEMPORARY / PERMANENT & HOURS PER WEEK:

• This position is term time, mornings only.
• 15 hours pw - initially a 1 year contract which may be reviewed thereafter
