We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and nurturing Early Years Educator to join our supportive team as soon as possible. The position will continue until June 2027. Subject to service requirements, there may be an opportunity for contract renewal from August 2027. We enjoy low educator to child ratios, which ensures secure attachments and consistency for our children and families. We would ideally like someone who values an environment in which they can be creative and curious, drawing on different pedagogies such as play and Reggio, not just Montessori.

• The Ideal Candidate Will Have: A minimum QQI Level 5 or 6 qualification in Childcare and Education
• A Montessori Qualification is not necessary as basic training and mentorship will be available
• Strong spoken and written English
• An understanding of the value of outdoor play and be willing to support the children in outdoor play every day.
• An understanding of the different activities and environmental changes needed for the different ages and stages of young children
• A kind and responsive nature with a genuine passion for supporting young children
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Some experience of documenting the children's development and also emergent interests/planning - support/non contact time given
• Own transport as we are not on a public transport route

• Ensure a good standard of hygiene.
• Attend meetings and undergo training as required.
• Be aware of all policies and follow same
• Be aware of child protection procedures and advise manager should you have any concerns about a child.
• Knowledge of Aistear and Siolta.
• Supervise homework activities.
• Accompany children to and from school.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time

Person Specifications:
