GREENLANE MONTESSORI AND AFTER SCHOOL- EARLY YEARS EDUCATOR

LOCATION: LEIXLIP CO KILDARE

JOB DESCRIPTION / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A minimum QQI Level 6 qualification in Childcare and Education

Duties:

• To report to the Manager
• To act as a positive role model and lead the staff team in the room in the delivery of a programme of the highest standard and in accordance with Aistear and Síolta both indoors and outdoors.
• To, guide, observe, stimulate and supervise children in a safe and caring environment as part of the childcare team
• To act, if required as a key worker to specified children
• Ensure the safety, security and well-being of all children in your care
• To adhere to the Child Care 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016, the Child Care Act 1991, and all other relevant legislation and Regulations.
• To adhere to good practice guidelines in relation to Aistear, Síolta, and policy documents
• Ensure the safety, security and well-being of all children in your care
• To ensure all quality and safety standards are maintained in the Service always with specific responsibility for your designated room
• To be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures and to follow them accordingly.
• To ensure hygiene and cleaning standards are met and implemented in the service daily.
• Staff Provide direction and support to the other assisting early years educators in your room
• To ensure the staff: child ratios are compliant with the most current Early Years Regulations always
• To monitor and supervise the practice of practitioners in the room Give constructive formal and informal feedback to staff regularly based on your observations in the room (one to one meetings, room meetings)
• To report any issues in relation of staff members to the Manager
• To be responsible for supporting students in your room under the direction of the Service Manager.
• To encourage staff and support the Service Manager to maintain a good working atmosphere in the Creche

We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and nurturing Early Years Educator to join our supportive team to start August 2026.

Position Details: 8:15am – 12:30pm, Monday to Friday Term-time position This role is part-time with set morning hours.

Additional hours may become available in line with the needs of the service.

Contract: The position runs until June 2027 (end of term). Optional Summer Camp work may be available. Subject to service requirements, there may be opportunity for contract renewal from August 2027. We value consistency for our children and are seeking someone committed to becoming a long-term member of our team.

The Beehive Montessori - AIM Educator

LOCATION: Prosperous, Co Kildare

JOB DESCRIPTION / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*

We are a sessional service catering for upto 41 children. We are based in the beautiful grounds of The Kildare Maze (though not the maze itself, don’t worry! 😀).

Aswell as our lovely classrooms we have a dedicated play area and also use of a giant sandpit, a natural wooden playground and lovely nature walks. Our classrooms without walls makes everyday full of opportunities for our curious and capable little adventurers.

• We are looking for an AIM educator who is dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic, and who has a child focused approach to early childhood education.
• All applicants must have a minimum qualification of FETAC level 5 in early years care and education.
• Experience in a sessional early years setting is preferred.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be naturally warm and responsive to young children’s needs and interests
• Have experience of working in a team environment, where everyone is respected and supported in their role.
• Have an inclusive approach to practice, with a particular interest in supporting a child/children with speech and language development activities (must be a fluent English speaker).
• Enjoy being outdoors and sharing adventures with our little ones.
• Have an understanding and knowledge of the Aistear Framework.
• Have a good knowledge and understanding of child protection and the duties and responsibilities under Children First.
• Have experience of working with parents as partners
• Have a flexible and positive attitude

• This position is term time, mornings only.
• 15 hours pw - initially a 1 year contract which may be reviewed thereafter
