Location of the Job KCCCs office is based at Unit 21, Clane Business Park, Clane, Co. Kildare.  KCCC offer the option of hybrid working arrangements for employees.

About the Position

KCCC is recruiting an Information Officer to support the Ukrainian Community in Kildare to access childcare. The position is full-time (35 hours per week) on a fixed term contract to 31st December 2023 (all contracts are subject to funding and six months probationary period). 

The successful candidate will work as part of the KCCC Development team to support the Ukranian community in relation to their childcare needs and refer to other relevant agencies as necessary.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant staff team delivering an interesting and varied programme of work on behalf of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY).

Salary Scale: Aligned to Local Authority Grade 3.1 €27,146

 

Criteria

 

  • Experience providing Information and Advise
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and English is essential for this post.
  • Qualified in MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Ability to work confidentially
  • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to undertake work requiring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent IT and administrative abilities, including experience in report writing
  • Access to your own transport is an advantage.

 

 

Relevant Training or Qualifications:

Ideally the person will have a third level or professional qualification in Childcare or related discipline.  However, it is more important that the person is a self-starter, can work independently, is motivated to work with the Ukrainian community, has experience of facilitating and engaging with individuals and groups or has worked with other nationalities and who understands the impact of cultural differences and life experiences.
